The webinar examined the behavior styles that many civil engineers and technical people possess and how that helps them in analytical areas and with detailed issues, but could hinder them in dealing with leadership, team-building and communications. It also examined the topic of leadership using research with senior civil engineering students. This can be important in understanding the expectations about leadership traits on teams, their importance, and how to coach team members or work associates in being better leaders. Frank tied this discussion to Envision topics and the Leadership credit category.
