Committees: Academic Committee
ISI’s Academic Committee plays a key role in shaping how Envision is integrated into higher education. The committee identifies the needs of the academic community, develops curriculum and supporting resources, and advocates for broader adoption of the framework —ensuring that the next generation of professionals is equipped to advance sustainable infrastructure. ASCE Sustainability Solutions Competition
ISI is proud to collaborate with ASCE on the ASCE Sustainable Solutions Competition, where students build their sustainability skills and solve real-world engineering problems. As part of this effort, ISI pairs teams with experienced Envision users who mentor students and share practical experience about framework application. The program offers a meaningful way for ENV SPs to support the next generation of engineers and highlight the impact and value of Envision in practice. Envision Trainers
Envision Trainers play a key role in growing the global community of ENV SPs. ISI’s virtual Train-the-Trainer course equips experienced ENV SPs with the knowledge, tools, and teaching practices needed to confidently deliver Envision training. Participants deepen their understanding of the framework, learn effective strategies for communicating sustainability concepts, and build skills for engaging diverse audiences. Graduates become ISI-approved Envision Trainers, authorized to lead ENV SP workshops and support the expanding Envision community worldwide. ISI periodically issues calls for new trainers, and successful applicants are invited to participate in the four-day training. Watch for announcements in our monthly e-news or fill out this form to be contacted about the next training.
Envision Verifiers
Our verification program relies on a dedicated group of trained professionals who help uphold the integrity of Envision. If you have substantial experience with Envision, you may be eligible to join this community through ISI’s verifier training program. New verifier opportunities are announced periodically, and selected applicants complete a rigorous training process.
