Associate Professor Dr. Duygu Erten is a faculty member at Ankara University in the Department of Real Estate Development and Management. She has held academic positions in the Civil Engineering Departments of multiple universities, teaching courses on Green Engineering (Envision metric), Sustainable Buildings, and Certification Systems (with LEED metrics). She was Chair of the Graduate Program at IMU: Climate Change ,Energy and Health and served as Vice President of the Climate Change Research Center. Dr. Erten has also served as a board member at the US Green Building Council and other NGOs focused on sustainability. She currently serves as a commissioner on the Global Commission on Healthy Indoor Air led by IWBI. She is a registered Professional Engineer, ASCE Fellow, BREEAM Fellow, and WELL Faculty. She has received the Chairman’s Award from the World Green Building Council. Dr. Erten earned her BS from Boğaziçi University and completed her MS and PhD at Rutgers University. She has twenty years of corporate experience and has worked as an entrepreneur prior to entering academia.
