Applications Now Open for Envision Academic Grants

The Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for our 2026-2027 Envision Academic Grants!

The primary goal of this initiative is to advance sustainability in higher education through the integration of the Envision framework into academic research and course content. As climate and social equity challenges continue to intensify, higher education plays a critical role in preparing future engineers, planners, scientists, and policymakers to design sustainable, resilient infrastructure. Integrating Envision into coursework and research gives students practical tools to help address these challenges.

The Envision Academic Grants support faculty engaged in sustainability-focused teaching and research that incorporates the Envision Sustainable Infrastructure Framework, and is designed to help these educators apply Envision to guide, evaluate, and strengthen academic work related to sustainable infrastructure and systems thinking.

Selected applicants will receive a US$5,000 grant to revise and/or develop coursework and/or research aligned with Envision, credits for Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) credential training, and opportunities for peer learning and presentation. Application Deadline: September 25, 2026
