Policy & Public Affairs Director

Holly Lopez, MPP, ENV SP is the Policy & Public Affairs Director of Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities (SLCDPU). Holly was hired by SLCDPU as the first Sustainability Manager for the department and maintains much of that responsibility in addition to her current role. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Utah. Holly is leading the SLCDPU team currently seeking ISI’s Envision certification for two major water treatment projects – the new Water Reclamation Facility which replaces Salt Lake City’s only sewer treatment plant, and upgrades to the City Creek Water Treatment Plant. These projects were the first two projects registered under ISI’s Envision program in the state of Utah.
