5-May-2026
C&S Companies is a national leader in aviation sustainability and resilience, employing a holistic approach to sustainability focused on economic viability, operational efficiency, natural resource conservation and social responsibility. An ISI member since 2015, C&S has 18 ENV SPs. The company has served as the lead ENV SP firm for multiple U.S. airfield Envision-verified projects, including multiple Envision Gold awards and the first Envision Platinum award for an airfield project. The latter, Indianapolis International Airport Runway 5R-23L & Taxiway D Strengthening and Capacity Enhancement Project, builds in several environmental accomplishments, and notably, it represented the first-ever FAA-approved design for an airfield project using carbon capture technology.
C&S most recently served as lead Envision firm for the Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) Project, earning Envision Verified (post-construction review completed in March 2026). Larissa Holland, Aviation Sustainability Consultant at C&S, noted at the time of the announcement:
“C&S was proud to partner with MRY and the broader project team to integrate sustainable construction strategies, consistent stakeholder coordination, and resilience planning into a complex, multi-year safety enhancement program. This effort demonstrates that critical airport infrastructure at commercial service airports can enhance safety, serviceability, and long-term performance while advancing measurable sustainability outcomes.”
