Clemson University’s Highway 76 Parking Lot Receives Envision Bronze Award

Clemson University’s Parking and Transportation Services’ (PATS) Highway 76 Parking Lot project is the recipient of the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) Envision Bronze award. The Envision rating system rates sustainable infrastructure across the full range of environmental, social, and economic impacts.

The Highway 76 Parking Lot will be a satellite lot to Clemson University’s campus. With student enrolment growing, Clemson University needed to develop a parking solution that would blend in well with the campus, without creating a significant increase in university parking costs. The Highway 76 Parking Lot was developed with feedback from the University’s student government and from community members. The lot will have campus access via transit routes and will include provisions to encourage biking to and from campus.
